Kazimierz is the most fascinating part of Kraków. The former splendour of the historic district has been revived in recent years in the form of various cultural events, art galleries, trendy eateries, atmospheric vintage shops or handicraft shops. At the same time, traces of the past can be seen at every turn: the historic Old Synagogue, the Galicia Jewish Museum, but also cobbled streets and historic courtyards of townhouses.

Today, as centuries ago, Kazimierz is a meeting place for different cultures and nationalities. Its unique atmosphere and numerous cultural events, including the international Jewish Culture Festival and ending with intimate concerts in the Alchemia Club, to name just a few, attract people from all over the world.

The city of Kazimierz – as this unusual district was a separate city until 1800 – is not only unique tenement houses and traces of a multicultural past located in sacred monuments such as the Basilica of Corpus Christi or St. Catherine of Alexandria Church, but also a dynamic street art space. The street art decorating the walls here creates a unique atmosphere and perfectly emphasises the rebirth of the district, bringing generations together and making Kazimierz a living open-air gallery.
